Michigan has chosen to emphasize recruiting in the last decade in the Deep South which a dramatic shift from 30-40 years ago when it was the Midwest; they offered at least 82 prospects in Florida and Georgia. The competition for those highly skilled prospects is intense; this season, Michigan only managed to gain one commitment of the 82 offered: Jaylen Harrell.
