Rick Leach, Steve Smith, Brian Griese, John Wangler, Bob Timberlake, Todd Collins, Harry Newman, Pete Elliott and Drew Henson were great quarterbacks at Michigan; however, none were elected Captain. Of course, prior to 1970, there was only one captain chosen; since 1970, we've had as many as four chosen in a single season.
