The only other Michigan teams to make the Women's Softball College World Series were Western Michigan in 1982, and Central Michigan in 1987. The only other MAC Schools to reach the College World Series were Toledo (1989), Kent State (1990), and Northern Illinois (1988). The only other Big Ten teams to reach the College World Series are Northwestern (1984, 1985, 1986, 2006 runnerup, and 2007), Indiana (1983 & 1986), Iowa (1995, 1996, 1997, and 2001), and Nebraska (2013). Nebraska also earned the College World Series representing the Big 12 Conference in 1982, 1984, 1985, 1987, 1988, and 1998.
