Observations on the first half with Notre Dame, 0-10!
Notre Dame gains 3 red zone opportunities due to 5 Michigan turnovers, and converts them into 10 points. The Wolverines convert 2 Irish turnovers into nothing.
Offense STINKS!! Denard Robinson has thrown 4 interceptions, and is 5 of 13 for 59 yards; he has also been sacked twice. Robinson has 51 yards in 14 carries; Fitzgerald Touissaint has 4 carries for two yards. NO OFFENSE, NO RUNNING GAME. Vincent Smith threw the other red zone interception. Devin Gardner and Roy Roundtree each have two receptions. Michigan has 120 yards of total offense, 9 first downs and are 3 of 6 on 3rd down conversions.
Defense forced two turnovers, one in the red zone with Thomas Gordon intercepting a tipped pass by J.T. Floyd. The other was by Ramon Taylor. Offense couldn't capitalize on either one. Jordan Kovacs and Jake Ryan have 4 tackles each. Jarrod Wilson didn't help with two penalties late in the first half, one in the red zone with a pass interference that resulted in the TD. Notre Dame is only 1 of 4 in 3rd down conversions, and has 111 yard in total offense with 7 first downs.
Brendon Gibbons misses a 43 yard field goal. No punts because we simply throw interceptions. Matt Wile's punt was downed at the 9.
2nd Half will probably be worse, we won't win this one. No hope with a Senior quarterback who has totally lost his poise. I'd start Jack Kennedy in the second half over Denard tonight.
