MIchigan earns 42 points in 6 red zones and another 21 points in 3 big play TDs while the Minutemen score twice in the red zone for 6 points, and get a "Pick 6" on an interception from Denard.
Michigan's offense gained 585 net yards, 294 on the ground, 27 first downs, and were 8 of 12 on 3rd and 4th down conversions. Denard Robinson was 16 of 24 for 291 yards, 3 TDs and one interception, and he ran for 106 yards on 10 carries for another TD. Drew Dileo caught 3 passes for 91 yards, Devin Funchess caught 2 passes for 34 yards including a 26 yard TD, and Devin Gardner caught a 42 yard TD pass. Fitzgerald Touissaint got 85 yards in 15 carries and a TD. Vincent Smith had 3 carries for 20 yards and 2 TDs. Thomas Rawls had 42 yards on 6 carries. Justice Hayes had 19 yards on 3 carries for another TD. Jeremy Gallon got 3 grabs for 32 yards. Roy Roundtree has 2 catches for 25 yards and a TD. Mike Kwiatkowski got his first catch for 16 yards.
Defense was led by Thomas Gordon and Jordan Kovacs with 6 tackles for the first team. Brandin Hawthorne had 7 tackles for the second team. Joe Bolden forced the quarterback into an intentional grounding, 24 yard loss. Massachusetts got 259 offensive net yards, 112 on the ground with 15 first downs, and were 7 of 17 on third down. Special teams converted all 9 extra points by Gibbons. Norfleet had 2 kickoff returns for 42 yards. Will Hagerup had a nice 60 yard punt downed at the 3 yard line after a fumble. Wile had 9 kickoffs, 3 touchbacks, but only a 57.6 yard average on the other five with one out of bounds.
