1--Bill Martin and Coach Rodriquez should be ashamed for scheduling such a patsy as Delaware State. The University of Delaware would have been a much tougher contest! It is rumored that Coach Rodriquez and Bill Martin are now negotiating with Hillsdale College for the 2011 season.
2--Michigan bullied a significantly weaker team with 7 red zones for 28 points, a blocked punt TD. Delaware State managed two field goals in two red zones.
3--Michigan amassed 727 net yards in total offense, 461 on the ground with 34 first downs. Offense wasn't forced into any punts, but did turn the ball over once on a fumble for Robinson. Michigan had rushing TDs from Robinson, Smith, Shaw, Kevin Grady and Robinson threw for 2 TDs to Webb and Kelvin Grady in the first half. Mike Cox ran for 2 second half TDs. Vincent Smith looked terrific in gaining 166 yards in 17 carries.
4--Defense held Delaware State to 11 first downs, 216 yards in total offense forced them into 10 punts and two field goals. Brandon Graham had 2 sacks. The Hornets were 1 of 15 in 3rd down conversions.
5--Odoms returned 4 punts for 48 yards. Brandon Smith blocked a punt that Brandon Graham returned for a TD. Olesnavage nails 9 extra points. We didn't punt once.
6--It is nice to see a variety of players, and to give many reserves a deserving chance to play at home. JeRon Stokes caught his first pass as a Wolverine. Martell Webb and Kelvin Grady get their first TDs as Wolverines.
7--Purdue's upset of Ohio State puts Iowa in the driver's seat for the Big Ten title, but there is still many tough games to go. If Penn State beats us next week along with Ohio State at home, they may still have a chance to win the title.
Observations on the first half with Delaware State, 49-3!

2--Michigan bullied a significantly weaker team with 4 first half red zones for 28 points, and a blocked punt TD. Delaware State had 5 three and outs on their first five possessions until on their sixth possession they get a first down via penalty.
3--Michigan amasses 442 net yards in total offense, 280 on the ground with 21 first downs. Offense wasn't forced into any punts, but did turn the ball over once on a fumble for Robinson. Michigan has rushing TDs from Robinson, Smith, Shaw, Kevin Grady and Robinson threw for 2 TDs to Webb and Kelvin Grady.
4--Defense held Delaware State to 3 first downs, 2 by penalty and forced them into 7 punts and a field goal. Brandon Graham has 2 sacks.
5--Odoms returned 4 punts for 48 yards. Brandon Smith blocked a punt that Brandon Graham returned for a TD. The Hornets set up their field goal with a 51 yard kickoff return to our 23 leading to a red zone at our 4; however, we pushed them back to the 10 for a field goal.
6--It is nice to see a variety of players. JeRon Stokes caught his first pass as a Wolverine.
