1-PAC 10-Pacific Athletic Conference(36.3): Bowl Record: 3-2
USC Pacific 10 5 9W-1L Oregon State
California Pacific 10 23 8W-3L Tennessee/Arizona/USC
Arizona Pacific 10 26 6W-5L LSU/USC/Washington/UCLA/Oregon State
Arizona State Pacific 10 31 6W-5L California/Oregon/USC/Oregon State/UCLA
Washington State Pacific 10 32 6W-6L Auburn/USC/California/Arizona/Arizona State/Washington

Stanford Pacific 10 91 1W-10L Oregon/San Jose St./Navy/Washington St./UCLA/Notre Dame/Arizona/Arizona St./USC/Oregon State

USC must beat Notre Dame to get the BCS title game against Ohio State; if they lose, they will meet Michigan in the Rose Bowl unless Michigan gets a re-match against Ohio State in the BCS title game. The Oregon-Oregon State, Arizona-Arizona State, UCLA-USC winners and Washington State will determine the spots for the Sun, Emerald, Las Vegas and Hawaii Bowls. The PAC 10 may have 8 Bowl Eligible teams.

2-SEC-Southeastern (37.25): Bowl Record: 3-3
Florida Southeastern-E 7 10W-1L Auburn
Tennessee Southeastern-E 10 8W-3L Florida/LSU/Arkansas
South Carolina Southeastern-E 30 6W-5L Georgia/Auburn/Tennessee/Arkansas/Florida
Kentucky Southeastern-E 36 7W-4L Louisville/Florida/South Carolina/LSU
Georgia Southeastern-E 37 7W-4L Tennessee/Vanderbilt/Florida/Kentucky
Vanderbilt Southeastern-E 85 4W-7L Michigan/Alabama/Arkansas/Mississippi/South Carolina/Florida/Kentucky
Arkansas Southeastern-W 6 10W-1L USC
LSU Southeastern-W 8 9W-2L Auburn/Florida
Auburn Southeastern-W 15 10W-2L Arkansas/Georgia
Alabama Southeastern-W 38 6W-6L Arkansas/Florida/Tennessee/Mississippi State/LSU/Auburn
Mississippi Southeastern-W 82 3W-8L Missouri/Kentucky/Wake Forest/Georgia/Alabama/Arkansas/Auburn/LSU
Mississippi State Southeastern-W 88 3W-8L Tulane/Auburn/South Carolina/LSU/West Virginia/Georgia/Kentucky/LSU

The SEC title game looks to pit Florida against Arkansas. The SEC should get two teams to the BCS under this new format; winner to Sugar or BCS title game, loser to the Orange much to the chagrin of the Cotton Bowl. The Bowl spots open for Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee and South Carolina will depend on what those top 2 teams do after the BCS, Sugar, Cotton and other BCS spot is decided. The Capital One, Outback, Peach, Music City and Independence are all possibilities. The most likely scenario places Arkansas in the BCS title game if they beat LSU and Florida with Florida in the Sugar or Orange Bowl, and Auburn or LSU going to the Cotton or Capital One Bowls. This conference will have 8 bowl eligible teams, two in the BCS bowls with the other six going somewhere.

3-Big Twelve (40.75): Bowl Record: 5-3
Nebraska Big 12-N 20 8W-3L USC/Texas/Oklahoma State
Missouri Big 12-N 39 7W-4L Texas A&M/Oklahoma/Nebraska/Iowa State
Kansas State Big 12-N 42 7W-5L Louisville/Baylor/Nebraska/Missouri/Kansas
Kansas Big 12-N 51 6W-5L Toledo/Nebraska/Texas A&M/Oklahoma State/Baylor
Colorado Big 12-N 65 2W-9L Arizona State/Colorado State/Montana State/Georgia/Missouri/Baylor/Oklahoma/Kansas/Kansas St.
Iowa State Big 12-N 86 4W-8L Iowa/Texas/Nebraska/Oklahoma/Kansas State/Texas Tech/Kansas/Colorado
Texas Big 12-S 9 9W-2L Ohio State/Kansas State
Oklahoma Big 12-S 14 9W-2L Texas/Oregon
Texas A&M Big 12-S 22 8W-3L Texas Tech/Oklahoma/Nebraska
Texas Tech Big 12-S 40 7W-5L TCU/Missouri/Colorado/Texas/Oklahoma
Oklahoma State Big 12-S 49 6W-5L Houston/Kansas State/Texas A&M/Texas/Texas Tech
Baylor Big 12-S 63 4W-8L TCU/Washington State/Army/Texas/Texas A&M/Texas Tech/Oklahoma State/Oklahoma

It looks like the Texas-Texas A&M winner sets up a championship game of Texas or Oklahoma versus Nebraska, and the winner goes to the Fiesta with the loser going to the Cotton. The most likely scenario places Texas in the Fiesta, Nebraska in the Cotton and Oklahoma in the Holiday. Missouri, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Kansas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech should qualify for the Alamo, Insight, Independence, Texas and possibly even the Gator Bowls. This conference has the most Bowl qualifiers with 9 teams.

4-ACC-Atlantic Coast (40.83): Bowl Record: 5-3
Boston College Atlantic Coast-A 16 9W-2L North Carolina State/Wake Forest
Wake Forest Atlantic Coast-A 19 9W-2L Clemson/Virginia Tech
Maryland Atlantic Coast-A 21 8W-3L West Virginia/Georgia Tech/Boston College
Clemson Atlantic Coast-A 25 8W-3L Boston College/Virginia Tech/Maryland
Florida State Atlantic Coast-A 29 6W-5L Clemson/North Carolina State/Boston College/Maryland/Wake Forest
North Carolina State Atlantic Coast-A 78 3W-8L Akron/Southern Mississippi/Wake Forest/Maryland/Virginia/Georgia Tech/Clemson/North Carolina
Georgia Tech Atlantic Coast-C 17 9W-2L Notre Dame/Clemson
Virginia Tech Atlantic Coast-C 18 9W-2L Georgia Tech/Boston College
Miami-Florida Atlantic Coast-C 44 5W-6L Florida State/Louisville/Georgia Tech/Virginia Tech/Maryland/Virginia
Virginia Atlantic Coast-C 64 5W-6L Pittsburgh/Georgia Tech/Western Michigan/East Carolina/Maryland/Florida St.
North Carolina Atlantic Coast-C 77 2W-9L Rutgers/Virginia Tech/Clemson/Miami-FL/South Florida/Virginia/Wake Forest/Notre Dame/Georgia Tech
Duke Atlantic Coast-C 112 0W-11L Virginia Tech/Wake Forest/Richmond/Virginia/Alabama/Florida St./Miami-FL/Vanderbilt/Navy/Boston College/Georgia Tech

ACC will play the role of spoiler with no undefeated teams. One team in the BCS, and the #2 team to the Gator. The title game looks to be the Wake Forest, Maryland or Boston College against Georgia Tech. Other teams looking to be Bowl eligible include Clemson, Miami-Florida, Virginia Tech, Virginia and Florida State as the spots for the Peach, Champs, Music City, Meinke, Emerald and MPC Computer Bowls are decided. This conference has a chance for 8 bowl eligible teams.

5-Big Ten (45.64): Bowl Record: 3-4; 1 undefeated team
Ohio State Big Ten 1 12W-0L None
Michigan Big Ten 2 11W-1L Ohio State
Wisconsin Big Ten 4 11W-1L Michigan
Penn State Big Ten 43 8W-4L Notre Dame/Ohio State/Michigan/Wisconsin
Purdue Big Ten 45 8W-4L Notre Dame/Iowa/Wisconsin/Penn State
Minnesota Big Ten 46 6W-6L California/Purdue/Michigan/Penn State/Wisconsin/Ohio State
Iowa Big Ten 47 6W-6L Ohio State/Indiana/Michigan/Northwestern/Wisconsin/Minnesota
Indiana Big Ten 68 5W-7L Southern Illinois/Connecticut/Wisconsin/Ohio State/Minnesota/Michigan/Purdue
Northwestern Big Ten 71 4W-8L New Hampshire/Nevada/Penn State/Wisconsin/Purdue/Michigan State/Michigan/Ohio State
Illinois Big Ten 73 2W-10L Rutgers/Syracuse/Indiana/Iowa/Ohio Univ./Penn State/Wisconsin/Ohio St./Purdue/Northwestern
Michigan State Big Ten 75 4W-8L Notre Dame/Illinois/Michigan/Ohio State/Indiana/Purdue/Minnesota/Penn State

Ohio State is in the BCS title game; a re-match of Michigan-Ohio State is possible at a neutral Glendale, AZ site if Notre Dame defeats USC, Arkansas loses to LSU and then beats Florida in the SEC title game. Otherwise, Michigan goes to the Rose Bowl to meet USC or other selection if USC makes the BCS title game by defeating Notre Dame. Wisconsin and Penn State look to get the Capital One and Outback bids with Purdue, Minnesota and Iowa taking the Alamo, Insight and Champs spots. The Motor City will have to fill their spot elsewhere. Could Wisconsin get in a BCS Bowl game over Boise State?

6-Big East (47.00): Bowl Record: 1-3
West Virginia Big East 11 9W-1L Louisville
Rutgers Big East 12 9W-1L Cincinnati
Louisville Big East 13 9W-1L Rutgers
Cincinnati Big East 52 6W-5L Ohio State/Pittsburgh/Virginia Tech/Louisville/West Virginia
South Florida Big East 54 7W-4L Kansas/Rutgers/Cincinnati/Louisville
Pittsburgh Big East 55 6W-5L Michigan State/Rutgers/South Florida/Connecticut/West Virginia
Connecticut Big East 66 4W-6L Wake Forest/Navy/South Florida/West Virginia/Rutgers/Syracuse
Syracuse Big East 83 4W-7L Iowa/Wake Forest/Pittsburgh/West Virginia/Louisville/Cincinnati/South Florida

West Virginia or Louisville could qualify for a BCS game if they win out, and this will probably happen as West Virginia plays Rutgers at home. This means West Virginia in the Sugar and the Louisville in the Orange with Rutgers in the Gator. South Florida, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati are looking to go the Sun, Texas, Birmingham or the new International Bowl.

7--Independents (65.00): Bowl Record: 1-1
Notre Dame Independent 3 10W-1L Michigan
Navy Independent 41 8W-3L Tulsa/Rutgers/Notre Dame
Army Independent 96 3W-8L Arkansas State/Texas A&M/Rice/Connecticut/TCU/Tulane/Air Force/Notre Dame
Temple Independent 117 1W-11L Buffalo/Louisville/Minnesota/Western Michigan/Vanderbilt/Kent St./Clemson/Northern Illinois/CMU/Penn St./Navy

Notre Dame probably makes a BCS game, and could make the BCS title game if they defeat USC and Arkansas loses to LSU, but defeats Florida in the SEC title game. Navy accepted a Meinke Bowl invitation.

BYU has the inside track to the Las Vegas Bowl with the Poinsettia, Armed Forces and New Mexico Bowls ready to select from TCU, Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico or possibly Air Force.

Tulane Conference USA-W 99 4W-7L Houston/LSU/SMU/UTEP/Auburn/Marshall/So.Mississippi

Title game looks to pit Houston against Southern Mississippi. Winner goes to the Liberty Bowl, and the loser to the GMAC Bowl. Other bowl eligible teams may include Tulsa, East Carolina, Texas-El Paso, Rice and possibly SMU to take the Armed Forces, Birmingham and New Orleans spots. This Conference could also grab the Motor City and possibly another spot as conferences may not fill their obligations.

10-WAC-Western Athletic Conference (84.55): Bowl Record: 1-2; 1 undefeated team
Boise State Western Athletic 24 11W-0L None
Hawaii Western Athletic 50 9W-2L Alabama/Boise State
Nevada Western Athletic 70 8W-3L Fresno State/Arizona State/Hawaii
San Jose State Western Athletic 80 6W-4L Washington/Nevada/Boise State/Hawaii
Idaho Western Athletic 100 4W-7L Michigan State/Washington State/Oregon State/Boise St./Hawaii/Nevada/Fresno State

Utah State Western Athletic 118 1W-10L Wyoming/Arkansas/Utah/BYU/Idaho/San Jose St./Louisiana Tech/Hawaii/Nevada/Boise State

Boise State looks to land in the Fiesta Bowl, but their last second win over San Jose State may have cost them a BCS game. Wisconsin may be selected over Boise State. If Boise State does make the BCS, then New Mexico, Nevada and San Jose State vie for MPC Computer, New Mexico and Poinsettia Bowls. Hawaii has already accepted the Hawaii Bowl bid.
