Observations on the first half with Nebraska, 3-10

Nebraska converts two red zones in the first quarter for 10 points; Michigan gains one red zone for 3 points.

Offense continues to look like a Division I-A team! Devin Gardner was 7 of 10 for 70 yards. Offense rushes for -10 yards, and gains 60 net yards in 29 plays with a 3 minute time of possession advantage; we were 3 of 10 in 3rd and 4th down conversions, and had only 6 first downs. Derrick Green and Fitz Toussaint combine for 9 carries for 16 yards. Gardner is sacked 4 times. Jeremy Gallon has 5 catches for 49 yards.

Defense is led by Cam Gordon with 5 tackles, and Jake Ryan has 4. The Cornhuskers gained 136 yards in 34 plays with 9 first downs, and were 3 of 8 in 3rd down conversions. Ameer Abdullah had 15 carries for 68 yards and a TD. Armstrong and Kellogg combined for 4 of 11 in passing for 47 yards.

Special teams were poor on punt returns allowing 2 for 27 yards. Gibbons hit his field goal. Wile had a 69 yard punt to the 3 yard line, but offense couldn't gain one first down after starting at the Nebraska 42 with 2 minutes to go.

Things don't look good for Brady Hoke and the team! If we win, we win ugly; if we lose, we lose uglier. We will be lucky to finish 7-5 this season.
