Observations on the first half with Indiana, 13-3

Michigan gained two red zones for 10 points; Indiana gained one red zone for 3 points. No turnovers for either team.

Offense gained 11 first downs, 166 yards in 30 plays with 113 on the ground. John O'Korn was 7 of 11 for 53 yards, and was 2 of 5 in 3rd down conversions. Donovan Peoples-Jones caught 3 passes for 32 yards including a 17 yarder. Zach Gentry had 2 catches for 19 yards. Karan Higdon carried 8 times for 70 yards and a TD. Ty Isaac carries 4 times for 23 yards. Eddie McDoom carried once for 13 yards. Kareem Walker got an 8 yard carry as well. Chris Evans had 4 touches for -4 yards. We dominated the time of possession by 4 minutes, but Indiana ran two more plays.

Defense held Indiana to 8 first downs, 112 total yards in 32 plays with 22 on the ground, and 2 of 7 in 3rd down conversions. Devin Bush and Chase Winovich had 4 tackles each. David Long and Rashan Gary combined for a sack. Mo Hurst blocked a Hoosier field goal, and LaVert Hill ran it back to to 27 yard line to set one a score. Peyton Ramsey is 8 of 16 for 70 yards, and Richard Lagow threw once for 20 yards. Luke Timian has 4 catches for 40 yards.

Special Teams were led by Quinn Nordin with 2 field goals. James Foug continues to lead the kickoff coverage with 4 kickoffs, one touchback, and none came out past the 20. We were forced into one punt. We came out with our worst game ever in penalties with 11 for 98 yards including 3 fouls on one play.

Second Half will be up to the offense. If we continue to run the ball, we shouldn't have much of a problem, but if they shut down the run and force us to throw, anything could happen. Go Blue!
