Observations on the first half with Notre Dame

Notre Dame completely dominated the first half with 3 red zones, almost 4, for 14 points while Michigan's paltry offense had zero red zones. Two Notre Dame turnovers resulted in 7 points for Michigan while the Irish couldn't capitalize on the one Michigan turnover.

Defense created two turnovers, but really looks bad and is getting blown off the line of scrimmage. Notre Dame has powered for 15 first downs, 268 yards in net offense and is 4 of 7 in third down conversions. Rees is 13 of 22 for 166 yards, 1 TD and 2 interceptions by Kovacs and Floyd. Cierre Wood had 75 yards on 13 carries for a TD, and Jonas Gray added 27 yards on 4 carries for a total of 102 net yards on the ground. Kenny Demens and Thomas Gordon have 7 tackles each, Jordan Kovacs and Marvin Robinson have 4 tackles each. Irish had dominated time of possession by 8:30 and it has led to double the offensive plays. Floyd has 7 catches for 112 yards, and is totally dominating our secondary. Riddick has 4 catches for 27 yards and a TD.

Matt Wile had 4 punts for a 39.8 yard average, one inside the 20 and overcame a bad snap almost over his head on his first punt. Ruffer had a field goal for the Irish.

2nd Half must have offensive execution for us to have a chance.
