Observations on the first half with New Mexico, 24-10

Michigan gained 273 net yards with 129 on the ground.; the Wolverines had 14 first downs, and were 6 of 9 in 3rd down conversions. Justice Haynes ran 10 times for 91 yards and 2 TDs. Bryce Underwood hit 12 of 17 passes for 144 yards and a TD. Marlin Klein caught 3 passes for 54 yards. Semaj Morgan caught 3 passes for 25 yards, and ran twice for another 14 yards. Donoven McCulley caught 3 passes for 24 yards. Channing Goodwin caught a 39 yard pass. Tavian Combs led New Mexico with 8 tackles. The Wolverines ran 9 more offensive plays with a 1:30 time of possession advantage.

Defense held the Lobos to 110 net yards with 19 on the ground; New Mexico had 8 first downs, and were zero for 5 in 3rd down conversions. Jack Layne hit 11 of 19 passes for 82 yards. Dorian Thomas snarred 6 passes for 54 yards and a TD. Ernest Hausmann and Mason Curtis led the defense with 5 tackles each.

Special Teams were even with both teams hitting field goals. New Mexico punted 3 times and Michigan punted twice. Semaj Morgan fumbled his first punt, but was able to recover the miscue.
