Beau Brade has 9 tackles and a pass break up to lead the Terrapin defense. A Blake Corum fumble was recovered by Trevor Keegan.
Defense held Maryland to 103 total yards with -7 on the ground due to two sacks; the Terrapins were 4 of 8 on 3rd and 4th down conversions. Tai Felton has 3 catches for 26 yards. Junior Colson has 6 tackles to lead the defense; Michael Barrett left the game after 3 tackles including a sack and a forced fumble recovered by Derek Moore for a TD.
Special Teams came up big with a HUGE punt block by Christian Boivin for a safety! Tommy Doman has only had to punt once, and it was a 58 yarder. Maryland's strategy to squib kick hasn't helped them in field position.
Second Half will be a test for Michigan to stay focused and play their game. They need to stop Maryland on that first drive and come back with a score to extend this to a 3-score game. Go Blue!
