Observations on the first half with Central Michigan, 35-3

Offense exploded for 362 net yards with 151 on the ground; they were 5 of 6 in 3rd down conversions with 19 first downs. Bryce Underwood hit 13 of 21 passes for 211 yards with one TD and one interception; he also ran 7 times for 86 yards, and a TD. Justice Haynes ran 6 times for 24 yards and a TD; he also caught a 16 yard pass. Jordan Marshall ran 5 times for 18 yards and a TD. Andrew Marsh caught a 30 yard pass, and ran an end around for 23 yards and a TD. Semaj Morgan caught 3 passes for 60 yards and a TD. Channing Goodwin caught 3 passes for 33 yards. Hogan Hansen caught 2 passes for 36 yards. Kalen Carroll, Jordan Kwiatkowski, and Elijah Gordon led the chips with 5 tackles each.
Defense held the Chippewas to 79 yards of total offense with 49 on the ground; they had 6 first downs and were 4 of 11 in 3rd and 4th down conversions with 4 "three and outs." Angel Flores hit 7 of 9 passes for 24 yards, and ran 8 times for 56 yards. Jimmy Rolder led the defense with 6 tackles; Jaishawn Barham had 5 tackles including 2 sacks. Jyaire Hill had 4 tackles including a sack. Central had a time of possession advantage by 3 minutes, but Michigan ran 7 more plays.
Special Teams had no punts, and missed their only field goal attempt. Andrew Marsh had a 16 yard kickoff return, and Semaj Morgan ran back two punts for 2 yards. We forced Central into 4 punts.
Second Half will continue to be a breeze! It is sure nice to beat up on a featherweight after losing to a heavyweight. Go Blue!
