We crowned one women's (gymnastics) and three men's (baseball, swimming and track) Big Ten Champions; we had no team NCAA champions, but three individual NCAA Champions with Matt Patton (500 Freestyle) Alex Vanderkay (400 IM) for Men's swimming, Tiffany Ofili (110 meter hurdles) and Gena Gall (800) in Women's track. Football #1 Draft Choice, Jake Long, Hockey stars, Chad Kolarik and Kevin Porter, Baseballer's, Zach Putnam and Nate Recknagel, Softballer's: Samantha Findlay, Alessandra Giampaolo, Jordan Taylor, Nikki Nemitz, Women's Track: Betty Wade and Nicole Edwards, Men's Swimmer's: Matt Patton, Andre Schultz, Scott Spann, Water Polo's: Julie Hyrne and Leah Robertson; Wrestler's: Josh Churella, Steve Luke, Eric Tannenbaum, Tyrel Todd, Men's Gymnasts: David Chan (horse), Phil Goldberg (rings), and Thomas Kelley (high bar) each earned All-America honors in their sports.
