Observations on the first half with Wisconsin, 0-28

Wisconsin turned 2 Michigan interceptions into 14 points, and 4 red zones into 28 points; the Wolverines gained zero points in their only red zone opportunity.

Offense was horrid! The Wolverines had only 4 first downs, and gained 94 yards in 26 plays with 2 "three and outs" and 2 turnovers. Joe Milton was 6 of 12 for 66 yards, and ran 7 times for 15 yards. Defense was weak! Wisconsin rushed for 143 yards on 21 attempts, and gained 12 first downs with 227 total yards on 36 plays; they carried a 7 minute time of possession advantage that gained them 10 more offensive plays. Graham Mertz was 8 of 15 for 84 yards and a TD; he ran twice for 8 yards, and was 4 of 6 in 3rd down conversions. Nakai Watson had 8 carries for 40 yards and 2 TDs. Daxton Hill led the defense with 6 tackles, and Gemon Green had 5. Michigan could only force Wisconsin into 2 punts on the first and last possessions of the half.

Special Teams were negligible with Giles Jackson gaining a 43 yard kickoff return, and Brad Robbins punting twice.

Second Half will be all Badgers! This is the largest halftime home deficit in Michigan Football History. If this game doesn't give Michigan fans call for a coaching change, then perhaps the program need an athletic director change as well.
