Observations on the first half with Wisconsin, 0-28

Wisconsin converted two red zones for 14 points; Michigan fumbled their only red zone into a turnover. The Badgers scored no points off two Wolverines turnovers.

Offense was non-existent! Shea Patterson led the Wolverines to 4 first downs, and was 5 of 14 for 87 yards with one interception; he had 2 runs for -4 yards. Michigan was 0 for 4 on 3rd down conversions with 96 total yards for the half. Ronnie Bell caught a 68 yard pass on the first offensive play from scrimmage, but Harbaugh and Staff had no red zone play call so they had to call a time out. On the next play, Ben Mason fumbled away the red zone opportunity. I think we've seen enough of Shea Patterson for 2019; we need to play Dylan McCaffrey and Joe Milton the rest of the season and see what happens.

Defense was manhandled by the Badgers! Wisconsin had 200 rushing yards plus 112 passing yards with 15 first downs. The Badgers dominated with 312 total yards to 96 for the Wolverines. Wisconsin was 6 of 11 in 3rd and 4th down conversions. Jack Coan was 11 of 13 for 112 yards, and ran 6 times for 23 yards and 2 TDs. Jonathan Taylor carried 12 times for 143 yards and 2 TDs. Wisconsin dominated time of possession by 16 minutes, and this led to 21 more offensive plays. Josh Metellus led the defense with 8 tackles, and Khaleke Hudson had 7 tackles; Jordan Glasgow and Brad Hawkins had 5 stops each.

Special Teams didn't matter. Will hart punted 3 times for a 53 yard average, and Ronnie Bell had a 5 yard punt return. All kickoffs for both teams were touchbacks, and the Badgers had 3 punt returns for 28 yards.

Second Half will continue to be a Blowout! The Harbaugh era needs to end in 2019! He has not done the job after 5 seasons to build a championship program!
